Telkom ADSL subscribers get double their data

MyBroadband reports that Telkom has reduced data costs for its capped-data ADSL subscribers. The telecoms operator, which sells data through its Do Broadband internet service provider, last week sent out notices to subscribers to let them know they can expect a few more gigs, per month.

According to the report, Do Broadband subscribers will now get double their data allowance. Users on the 5GB package get an additional 5GB, bringing the total to 10GB – not a bad deal for the R99/month fee. It scales all the way up, including Do Broadband’s 10GB, 20GB, and 50GB bundles, each of which will now offer double the stated amount of data. Prices for those three are R149, R239, and R645, respectively, per month. Cracking value, for anybody who doesn’t want to opt for an uncapped account just yet.
