Prepare for more advertising from the kings of online advertising. Google recently updated its suite of apps for Android and Android Police were on hand to tear down the .apk files to see what changes had been made. There is now a whole new library within the .apk called ‘ads’ which references the first stage of Google monetising Gmail on mobile.

Gmail for the web is already laden with advertising and most of us find it easy to ignore, I hope (and I’m sure Google does to) that they don’t ruin the user experience of what is a great product just for the sake of a few extra advertising Dollars.
