More bullet-cam WWII sniping action coming in 2014

I loved Sniper Elite V2. The critics didn’t, but what do they know? The game clearly sold enough to warrant a sequel, if this new trailer is anything to go by (and it is), and I am now super-excited for its release, which will be sometime in 2014.

In case you missed the previous Sniper Elite game, check out this video from YouTube user ClevverGames to see some seriously cool kills from Sniper Elite V2 featuring the game’s awesome and gruesome X-ray kill-cam that really doesn’t shy away from showing you exactly what damage each bullet does. It’s a teensy bit NSFW and not for the squeamish, though; you have been warned.

Done? Now watch the official trailer for Sniper Elite III.

Doesn’t that look amazing? Personally I’d have preferred a bit more blood, but Rebellion was apparently showcasing the game’s new “vehicle killcam” feature that augments the X-ray killcam from V2.

According to the blurb below the video on Rebellion’s official YouTube channel, Sniper Elite III will feature greater emphasis on sandbox-style gameplay and will take place in North Africa during WWII, starring American OSS Agent Karl Fairburne and a great many disposable German soldiers.

It’ll be out on Steam, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One when it launches next year. Me, I can’t wait.
