The ANC’s Manifesto launch will be held tomorrow at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit. After the public address and celebrations, the party moves to the Church on the Hill for a fundraising gala dinner with the president where the ruling party will unveil its manifesto.

This made me think “Hey, perhaps an average Joe like me could score a ticket, it can’t be over R3000, right?”

So I logged onto Computicket with credit card in hand, and searched for ‘Zuma’. Nothing. “Aha,” I thought, “They’ll be using Micket then, won’t they?” Wrong!

Reverting to old fashioned tech, I called the ANC branch looking for a price. Still no joy.

Apparently buying a ticket for the gala dinner is not only an expensive affair, but an exclusive one too.
