The Girl Geek Dinners Cape Town community of women in tech will be hosting a startup challenge this month and you’re invited to attend.
Tidy & Co, Lab 41, Write On, Government Hack SA and The Skinny Juice Co, are the five finalists who will be competing for the chance to win the handsome first prize which includes:
- One free recruitment placement from Nu Beginnings valued at R75 000
- One free ticket to the next Startup Grind event and the chance to showcase their business
- One free ticket to attend the UCT-GSB Find-Make-Realise Investment Course from Knife Capital valued at R7750
- Company headshots from Jessica Ellen Photography
- Two-hour social media workshop from The Social Post valued at R6 000
- A Canon IXUS 265 camera
- Six sessions with PR experts at Ignite PR valued at over R60 000
- A MiFi and 6GB worth of data from Afrihost
- One month membership or free use of the boardroom from Daddy.O
- One night stay at Old Mac Daddy
The second prize consists of a MiFi and 6 GB worth of data from Afrihost, as well as one night’s stay at the Daddy Long Legs Hotel. Third prize is a MiFi and 6GB worth of data from Afrihost.
The judges for the Girl Geek Dinners Startup Challenge are CEO of Stone Tree, Alexandra Fraser, senior investment executive at Rand Merchant Insurance Holdings, Dominique Collett and director of Knife Capital, Andrea Böhmert
