WIN! Two Halloween hampers of horrifying gaming goodies worth R3 000 each!

As we approach the 31st October, you may find yourself wanting even more bloody thrills and spills in your gaming to go along with the macabre celebration that is the month of Halloween. And we’re just the site to give it to you, with these two fantastic game hamper giveaways.

No soon-to-be-released game offers more potential blood and gore than The Evil Within, a brand-new franchise from legendary game designer Shinji Mikami that looks to have more scares, gore and outright insanity than any of his previous games. And he created Resident Evil, so that’s a lot.

Another hotly-anticipated survival horror game coming in October is Alien Isolation, a game that pits the player up against the singular murderous intelligence of a lone xenomorph. It’s set 15 years after the events of the first Alien film, and you have to out-think, outsmart and outmanoeuvre your relentless foe on a derelict space ship. It promises some serious psychological tension that could be even more unsettling than The Evil Within’s graphic gore.

Two lucky readers stand to win hampers consisting of both games (on the console platform of their choice) and some fun related goodies. We’ve been given blood-soaked aprons, axe-shaped keychains and some cool collector’s postcards for The Evil Within, and copies of the first Alien movie, t-shirts and keyrings to go with Alien Isolation.

To enter, tell us what you’d do if you were to wake up in an abandoned sanitarium/spaceship/warehouse/some big empty place that’s been taken over by bloodthirsty psychopaths who’re clearly out for your blood, and all you have in your pockets is a safety pin, a rubber band and a grenade (frag, flash or incendiary – your choice).

We’ll be generous this time around and give you a whole 30 words with which to describe your moves. But no more, hear, or else we’ll have to get the hose again. Or disqualify your entry, either one. Probably the latter. Probably.

Entries close on the 31st of October – oooh, how spooky – and we’ll announce the winner in early November. Now get your creative writing caps on and come up with some awesome answers! But remember, you only have 30 words, so count them before hitting Submit!
