First African Bitcoin conference wants to take the mystery out of cryptocurrency

Cryptocurrency Bitcoin has been making all kinds of waves in the financial sector, not only in high-powered consumer markets, but also in South Africa with online retailer Takealot.com recently starting to accept Bitcoin as a method of payment. It was only a matter of time for Bitcoin conference to pop up.

The inaugural Bitcoin Africa Conference will be held at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, on 16 – 17 April 2015.

“During the two-day conference in Cape Town, industry experts from around the world will share their views on, as well as their experience of, the opportunities and challenges facing Bitcoin and how more companies in Africa could benefit from Bitcoin adoption,” it explained.
