Inaugural WiFi Forum Conference to accelerate better, faster connectivity in SA

This month, The WiFi Forum of South Africa will host its first annual conference with the aim of accelerating the adoption of high-speed, reliable and cost-effective broadband services in the country, and it’s inviting all interested parties to attend the event for free.

The forum describes itself as a body of volunteers comprising operators, service providers as well as public stakeholders with a vested interest in promoting better connectivity and the effective use of WiFi technologies in South Africa.

The WiFi Forum Conference, which will take place next Thursday 12th March at the Montecasino Ballroom in Johannesburg, will cover a range of topics including:

  • The role of WiFi in achieving the SA Connect vision
  • International perspective
  • Socio-economic and job creation potential of WiFi
  • WiFi innovation

Speakers lined up for the event include Zolani Matebese from the City of Joburg municipality and Brian Pinnock from Internet Solutions, among others.

The event, starting at 8am and lasting until 7pm, will also include two panel discussions and a networking session.
