Want to learn Arduino in Joburg?

Everyone knows about Arduino boards these days, but who actually knows how to program one or to what uses they can be put? They’re everywhere, in drones, robots, 3D printers and home automation kits, and if you’re keen to find out more, we’ve got just the course for you.

The Museum of African Design down in Maboneng, Johannesburg, is celebrating the reopening of its gallery and the launch of a new makerspace in its awesome underground vaults by hosting an Arduino training day on Saturday 16th May. All are welcome, whatever your background, and the cost of entry includes an Arduino Mega and components kit as well as a basic training course to get you started.

Frankly, it’s worth it just for the venue alone. MOAD’s revamp includes several cafe and bar areas as well as the makerspace – a great place to hang out and meet folks.

Arduino for Beginners kicks off at 9am, costs R950 and tickets are available by mailing the organiser here.
