Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is unveiling the results of his investigation into etolls in Gauteng in about an hour’s time, which is expected to finalise the changes coming through to the system and could possibly include a drop in the per-kilometer rate for freeway motorists.
The announcement comes a couple of months after Gauteng Premier David Makhura assembled a review panel to investigate the socia-economic aspects of the tolling system. The results of the panel were handed to President Jacob Zuma in November last year.
