Eskom has announced that stage one and stage two loadshedding are kicking in back to back today, Wednesday the 21st May, effectively extending power cuts to a greater part of the day.
Stage one started from 8am this morning and will stop at 2pm when stage two loadshedding begins right up until 10pm.
Eskom will implement stage 1 load shedding at 08:00 until 14:00 and then stage 2 will be implemented from 14:00 until 22:00 this evening.

“This is due to a shortage of generating capacity as several units are currently out of service due to maintenance,” the national power utility said.
It’s been a it of a tough week for South Africans as power cuts have been implemented everyday since last Saturday and may well continue into this weekend as well.
