This spaceship office is a Chinese man’s R1.1billion ode to Star Trek

Liu Dejian, a 43-year-old Chinese tech executive and founder of online game developer company NetDragon Websoft is a Star Trek fan and has a R1.1 billion building to prove it.

Dejan, who also sits on the board of Chinese social networking company, Baidu, spent 600 million yuan to build his company a new office that’s a replica of the Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E spaceship.

The Star Trek office is located in the city of Changle in China’s Fujian province and took around five years to build.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Dejian and his company approached US production company CBS to get the rights to the spaceship model before beginning construction on the  260mx100m six-story building.

The offices also boast a wonderful sea side view from the top, as well as a soccer field and tennis courts where employees can have a bit of down time.
