South Africans trying to get online in the last half hour may have noticed problems with both local websites and international web traffic, thanks to a problem on Internet Solutions (IS) network. According to the firm, engineers are currently working on a fix, but many of IS’ partners and customers – including other ISPs – are still affected.
The cause of the fault is not yet clear, and we’ve been unable to contact IS for more information yet. Local websites hosted on IS’ network are currently unreachable.
The bottom line is, if you’re struggling with internet access right now it’s not you – we’ll add more details as soon as we can.
