SA’s newest on-demand cleaning service will do your laundry Uber-style

Just Laundry has joined South Africa’s line up of on-demand cleaning services that are a click away, after launching its service in Johannesburg and Polokwane.

Mimicking the operational style of services such as eButler and SweepSouth, Just Laundry will collect your dirty clothes and garments, launder them and have them delivered back to you within 24 hours.

Just Laundry was created in late 2015 by the same company behind LayBy Cafe, which allows you to purchase clothes from a number of online retailers via layby.

“With our website, you can place the order from your smartphone or laptop with just a tap of a button, and we’ll do the rest. You get clean clothes and the time to do whatever you like,” said Just Laundry founder, William Thubakgale.

The service costs as little as R24 for washing and folding 5kg of laundry and an additional cost starting from R9 should you want it to be ironed.

You can also opt to have your laundry ironed only and throw in shoes such as sneakers and formal shoes to be washed or polished.

You must book the service either on desktop or mobile and one of the Just Laundry staff will come by to pick it up. All pick-up staff are background checked to ensure security.

Just Laundry plans to expand to other cities including Durban and Cape Town.

Visit the service’s website to see which areas in Joburg and Polokwane Just Laundry covers and to book your service.
