With winter just around the corner (see what we did there), HBO has dropped a new Game Of Thrones trailer, just in case any of the show’s millions of fans hadn’t already marked 24th April in their calendars.

Have a gander below and then let’s start the analysis:

So what does the above tell us about the next season of Game Of Thrones. Well, for a kick off, Jon Snow looks like he’s still dead. That could be a bluff – and only the folks who went to the recent Game Of Thrones premiere in Los Angeles the other night will know – but with the White Walkers on the horizon, the Night’s Watch could do with his help.

Elsewhere, Arya Stark seems to have regained her sight and is persevering with her training to be a killer. Mind you, Jaqen H’ghar has warned her she’s in the last chance saloon and she’d better not mess up again.

Elsewhere the Lannisters look like they’re gearing up to settle some old scores against the High Sparrow for Cersei’s humiliating Walk Of Atonement in the last season, Daenerys Targaryen looks like she may be forced through a similar experience and Tyrion is drinking and extolling wisdom in equal measure. Good ol’ Tyrion.

Oh, and there are dragons and soldiers lining up for what looks like some massive battles between the different houses in contention for power. By the looks of things this season of Game Of Thrones looks like it might be a right doozy.

Now, if there was only some indication on where Bronn – Tryion’s former merc muscle – will feature in the action…
