Former Jackass Steve-O sits down to play videogames with the Game Grumps

Steve-O, famous, erm, “performer”on shows Jackass and Wildboyz, recently sat down for a game of MadWorld with the hosts of Game Grumps.

While the Game Grumps may be the more popular of the two in recent years, they probably need more introduction than a man who has probably taken more blunt trauma than a crash test dummy.

The YouTube channel, made famous by entertainer Jon Jafari (JonTron) and animator Arin Hanson (Egoraptor), rose to fame for the comedic commentary from the duo as they played videogames.

Although the cast of Game Grumps has changed over the years (and Jafari being replaced by Danny Sexbang), it’s still extremely popular. Popular enough, it seems, for Steve-O to join them on set.

The unlikely pairing game from an Instagram picture below in which Steve-O posses with some of his luggage. One bag in the picture has a sticker with a caricatured drawing of  Danny Sexbang. Fans went insane, the two spoke over Twitter, and a few months later, we have the video.

The game played was chosen by the guest, and it’s MadWorld. Steve-O asked the grumps what the most violent game they had on hand was, and Platinum’s hack-n-slash for the Wii was booted up.

This apparently came about because of Steve-O’s past thoughts on games being “a waste of time and effort”. In fact, in the video, he declares that, if he was going to waste his time and energy on something, it has to be something that would get him laid. Uh huh.

Regardless, on an international flight he watched a documentary about games which changed his mind, and now he tolerates them.

Surprisingly, he had a good time in the almost fifty minute video, even taking the controls himself to dispatch some bad guys. A general warning, however, as there is obscene language throughout and a lot of bloodletting because, ya know, it’s MadWorld.

What a bizarre event this was. A seemingly unlikely pairing that created a great piece of entertainment. It has us thinking of other such mashups, like Arnold Schwarzenegger on a cooking show or Pamela Anderson showing up in a cartoon.
