Hop on board the hype train with the latest Horizon Zero Dawn trailer

If you’re a PC gamer on a budget, it’s difficult to be excited by console exclusives like Halo 5 and Unchartered 4.

However, if any game would to convince me to buy a console its likely to be Guerrilla Games’ Playstation exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn.

Seriously, just take a look at the latest trailer for the game.

I dare you to not be hyped up to ride mechanical dinobots while slaying other dinobots with a bow and arrow.

This new trailer also offers more insight into the main protagonist, Aloy (pronounced ah-loy though we did think it was said the same way as alloy) and why she wants to turn these strange new creatures into spare parts.

From the trailer it seems that Aloy acts against the advice of her adopted father and ventures out of the safety of her valley into a land where, by all accounts “you will be lost, you won’t know where to turn or who to trust; you’ll be chasing a riddle into a world of mysteries,” or as we like to call it, a good Friday night.

From what we can gather, Aloy is trying to uncover the secrets of her past and as the trailer progresses we learn that its not only monolithic robotic beasts Aloy will face, but humans as well. That is sort of a given because well, we’re pretty sure robotic machines can’t breed. So unless aluminium has some special life giving properties we aren’t aware of, we’re pretty sure there is a clan of some kind creating these beasts and that Aloy is going to be tasked with bringing them to justice.

And that is probably why I, for one, am so excited to play this game, simply not knowing what the story has in store for Aloy’s, has me intrigued. The preview at E3 last year tempted me and this trailer has me purchasing a ticket for that hype train.

Only thing I need now is a PS4 and with a release date of February 28th 2017, I have more than enough time to beg/borrow/steal one to play this game on.
