Buy your tickets for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

It’s not hyperbole to say that the new Star Wars movie – Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – is one of the most anticipated movies of this year.

Those who the Force is strong with will know the film sees general release in South Africa on 15th December and it’s likely they wanted to see it on the biggest screen possible.

To that end, it might be worth marking your calendars for 28th November, because that’s when tickets for LucasFilm’s latest box office beast go on sale. Just pop along to the Rogue One site this coming Monday and you can reserve tickets for you and your mates to see the film in 3D, Real D 3D and IMAX 3D. There’s no word yet on pricing yet, so don’t blow all your money this Black Friday, just in case?

In case you’ve been locked in an isolation ward, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is one of the planned Star Wars movie that runs tangentially to the main (that would be numbered) Star Wars flick. This one fills in the background to Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope and tells the story of how the Rebel Alliance managed to get their hands on the plans to the Death Star.

To be honest, it’s rather baffling that any other production company is releasing a movie around the same time as Rogue One – and they are; Assassin’s Creed drops the following week. If the new Star Wars movie follows the trend of its predecessor, it’s likely it’ll suck all of the air out of the box office room.
