Africa’s Premier Digital Gathering launching in Durban this April

This April will see the launch of the first ever Digitize Africa conference coming to Durban next month featuring over 40 industry digital tech industry thought leaders.

Billed “Africa’s Premier Digital Gathering”, Digitize Africa 2017 presents a unique opportunity for governments, businesses, and consumers to share experiences and exchange solutions that are necessary to win in the digital game. The conference is expected to be a highly participatory program that will attract a diverse group of attendees, including CEOs, industry influencers, startup innovators and top media.

Featured Sessions Include:

  • Africa’s Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age
  • Digitizing African Education
  • Digital Cities and Regions
  • Beyond The White Paper – Implementing SA’s ICT Policy
  • Building Africa’s Digital Skills
  • Building A Vibrant African eCommerce Sector

Key speakers include Juanita Clark from FTTH Council Africa, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services Hlengiwe Mkhize, Dr Louis Coetzee, Chief Engineer at CSIR and KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Willies Mchunu.

The inaugural three day technology conference will also give technology or digital startups from Durban an opportunity to enter the Digitze Africa Startup Showcase Competition, where tech or digital startups from Durban will have an opportunity to showcase their talent and innovations to attendees, investors and the media.

Applications are officially open and startups stand a chance of winning exhibition stands over the three days of the Digitize Africa conference.
