While some might argue that the platformer game genre is a dying breed, Sega are having none of that and have recently revealed some brand new gameplay footage from their upcoming title, Sonic Forces. Check it out below:
Originally announced last year July as Project Sonic 2017, Sonic Forces is currently in development for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch and is set for a Q4 2017 release date. The video linked above shows off some fast paced platforming action as franchise hero Sonic traverses Green Hill Zone.

Sonic Forces is being developed by Sonic Team, the Sega division that previously worked on Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations. Both of these games were rather well received by both fans and critics alike. Sonic Forces makes use of the “Hedgehog Engine 2” and judging from the screenshots and trailer above, we’re in for a visual treat this holiday season.
