htxtafricast – #NoConfidenceVote, HBO hack and special guest Geoff Burrows chats games

Yes, it’s a public holiday but that doesn’t mean we can’t bring your weekly edition of the htxtafricast.

This week we’re joined by local game developer Geoff Burrows to chat about his game Among the Innocent: A Stricken Tale as well as the challenges of creating a game here on the southern most tip of Africa.

Before we chat about games however, Nick, Geoff and myself chat about some of the news that made headlines this week. First up we chat about the #NoConfidenceVote that happened in Parliament on Tuesday. The vote happened as we recorded this africast so we had no idea what the outcome might have been, in hindsight, I was too optimistic for my own good.

Then we take some time to chat about HBO’s hack and the threats the hackers have made. We also discuss the Googler who was fired after penning a memo that sent ripples throughout the internet this week.

And on that note, we’d like to wish all our readers a happy Women’s Day.
