Discworld, the famous series of books by Terry Pratchett, is being celebrated locally with a new annual event known as Discworld Day.

The very first Discworld Day will be taking place this November and there’s going to be a lot to do, even if you’ve never read the books.

Activities for young and old, including the famous Alter Ego Fancy Dress competitions, the always asked for Tavern Quizzes and now, introducing An Ankh-Morpork Adventure Treasure Hunt. Featuring themed food, all-day Discworld movie screenings, craft beer and market stalls.

There’s even more than that happening on the day so click around the links below for more information.

Discworld Day is being organised by the same people who run the Medieval Fayre and you should contact them if you have any questions, especially if you’d like to get involved in one way or another.
