Nintendo will ship the Super NES Classic Edition in 2018

While many folks are eagerly awaiting the Xbox One X, it appears as if many more are eager to get their hands on a Super NES Classic Edition from Nintendo.

So great is the demand for the retro console that Nintendo has now announced that it will put more Classic Edition consoles on shelves come its release on 29th September.

“More units of Super NES Classic Edition will ship on its Sept. 29 launch day in the U.S. than were shipped of NES Classic Edition all last year,” Nintendo said in a statement.

In addition to this the Japanese firm has said that it will ship additional NES Classic Edition consoles in 2018. The details of these shipments are thin on the ground at the moment but we’ll be sure to keep an eye on the wires for details on that.

The good news is that if you miss out on the first rounds of shipments at the end of this month – or struggle to get one in the proceeding months – you can foreseeable get the “new” retro console next year.

The NES Classic Edition ships with 30 games including Donkey Kong, Castlevania, Final Fantasy and Metroid.
