How to make a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds helmet

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues to gain popularity, and we’re seeing more maker projects pop up for it.

Jake Misra from the YouTube channel Make It Yourself has recreated the Spetsnaz level 3 helmet most commonly seen in the key artwork of the game.

Most of the helmet is made from EVA foam cut from gym mats which has been shaped with a heat gun and joined together with hot glue.

There’s also Bondo filler used to smooth everything out which is then sanded and painted.

Some final details like an acrylic visor and rivets were added. The rivets are an especially clever inclusion, and they’re actually googly eyes which have been painted over.
