This past weekend at the ultimate annual geek gathering, the San Diego Comic Con, Fox TV debuted the trailer for Cosmos.

While thousands of fans were indulged by their favourite TV celebs, including stars from X-Files, Archer, and Futurama, the biggest internet response came from Fox unveiling of the reboot of the 80s show, Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, hosted by famed astronomer Carl Sagan. Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey, which hits the airwaves next year, will be hosted by the internet’s most famous expert on all matters universe: astrophysicist and director of the Hayden Planetarium, Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Check out the trailer here, showing us NdGT and a few trippy scenes depicting what will, no doubt, be a great hit, and needed PR boost for the astronomy industry.

Eleven years ago Christo started writing about technology for one of South Africa's (then) leading computer magazines. His first review? A Samsung LCD monitor. Hey, it was hot news, back then. Nowadays he gets more excited about photography, cars, game consoles, and faster internet connections. He's sort of an Apple fan, but will take any opportunity to remind you about his Windows-powered home theatre PC and desire to own a vanilla Android tablet.   Currently uses: Apple 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display, Apple iPhone 5, Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000, Audiofly AF78 Earphones, Xbox 360, Nikon D50.
