If you haven’t played Naughty Dog’s incredible post-apocalyptic survival-adventure-thriller-ma-jig The Last of Us yet, you’re missing out on one of this year’s best games. And if you have played it, wouldn’t it be great to get your hands-on one of those swanky ‘Collectors Editions’ of the game?

That’s the one that comes with the game disc as normal, but lots of other limited run stuff too. In this case, the specially designed box comes with a book of artwork, a The Last of Us graphic novel, screen printed poster and the Survival Pack DLC which includes avatars and in-game items.

TLOU SPECIAL EDITION CARTON ELLIEAnd that’s not all. In the Ellie Edition there’s also:

  • An exclusive DualShock controller skin featuring Ellie
  • The game soundtrack as a digital download
  • A screen printed TLOU poster
  • PSN Avatars based on Ellie and Joel
  • And most oddly and yet covetable at all, a SackBoy costume for Ellie herself. //update – Deon points out this is the other way round – you get Ellie in Little Big Planet not, sadly, Sackboy in TLOU//

Which all makes it a compo worth entering even if you already own the game, if you ask us. If you haven’t played it, read our review then tell us you don’t want this.

Thought so.

We’ll be running this giveaway for two weeks from today’s date. To enter it, we want you to tell us what the one item you’d need with you to face the fungal apocalypse.

For bonus points, tell us why.

There’s two ways you can enter this competition: either by submitting your entry using the comment form below or by Tweeting it to @htxtafrica with a link to this post – you can click the Twitter button below to start generating that Tweet.

Judges will pick the best answer in a fortnight’s time, and we’ll attempt to contact the follower as soon as possible afterwards. Usual T&Cs apply (no multiple entries, families of employees may not enter, South African entrants only, judges decision is final etc).

It’s worth pointing out that The Last Of Us is only available for the PlayStation 3.

Best of luck!
