The third annual Jozi Film Festival will run from the 21st to 24th of February, 2014. That’s plenty of notice for those who want to attend, but for filmmakers who want to submit their shorts, there’s not a lot of time left:  BizCommunity reports that the festival’s organisers will only be taking submissions until the 18th of October, 2013.

Thankfully, hard work will be rewarded. There are prizes for various categories, including the best film shot on a mobile phone. Now that’s progress.
