Any idea how many Ghanian travel guide apps there are in the App Store or Google Play? Us neither, but a cursory scan suggests that there aren’t many at all. There’s at least one more now, though, thanks to the release of XplorGhana!, by Daniel Amaoteng.

It’s a charming app, not heavily detailed but has a fair number of entries about national parks, monuments, historical places and the best beaches. I do like the way it’s laid out though – simple and easy to navigate, makes me want to read more about the places it describes.

I’ve never been to Ghana. But if I do I think I’ll probably make this an essential. It’s on iOS and Android.
