Map Monday: Use Google Street View to tour the Large Hadron Collider

CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, has a little toy called the Large Hadron Collider. You might have heard of it.

You might also have been curious about what it’s like to walk around the particle accelerator’s home, 100m under the surface somewhere in Switzerland and France. Well, wonder no more. Thanks to Google Street View, it’s now possible to take a tour of the 27km ring that makes up the LHC, as well as the various detectors, labs, and other expensive equipment.
