This year’s Call of Duty to offer best connectivity yet

A recent tweet from Mark Rubin, Call of Duty: Ghosts’ executive producer has confirmed that the latest Call of Duty will use a combination of dedicated servers and “listening” servers that will work together to give gamers the best-possible connectivity when playing online.

The “dedicated server” portion isn’t quite news (it’s been known for a while now), but the fact that Infinity Ward (COD’s developer) is using a hybrid system that employs listening servers most certainly is. Read Rubin’s full tweet below for more detail.

Also, this applies across all platforms, including the two next-gen consoles, so no matter your platform of choice, you’ll reap the benefit of Infinity Ward’s new hybrid server system.

Clearly, Infinity Ward is listening to its user fans, and upping its game to make sure this year’s COD isn’t plagued by connectivity issues.

Good on yer, guys. Now we just have to see how effective these new measures are when the game launches on the 5th of November.
