No iPhone 5S for SA by Christmas?

It’s bad news for South African iPhone fans today as Apple announced its schedule for the next waves of countries getting the iPhone 5S and South Africa isn’t on the list. According to Apple the 2nd and 3rd release phases will be on the 25th of October and the 1st of November and countries like Macau and the Reunion Islands will beat South Africa to the launch date.

We still have no confirmed date for South Africa yet but considering the fact that the iPhone 5 was released in South Africa on December 14th last year we’re hoping that we get it around the same time again this year.

October 25th countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French West Indies, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.

November 1st countries:

Albania, Armenia, Bahrain, Colombia, El Salvador, Guam, Guatemala, India, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE.
