Instagram for Windows Phone is official

Today at Nokia World in Abu Dhabi Stephen Elop, Nokia’s CEO Vice President of Microsoft’s Devices & Services business unit, announced that Instagram would be coming to Windows Phone .

Window Phone users have up until now had to use unofficial workarounds to connect to the service with the latest app to garner attention being 6tag, which allowed Windows Phone users to browse and post pictures to Instagram.

We’re still waiting on an official timeline for Instagram for Windows Phone but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know any more details.
