What if telekinesis were real?

To promote its remake of 70s horror flick, Carrie, Metro Goldwyn Mayer created an entire fake coffee shop and hired actors plus a stuntman to share the terror in New York City. It rigged the set with portraits remote-controlled tables and chairs, magnetically-loaded photo frames, and a cable rig for the stuntman.

As soon as punters started streaming in, it all unfolded with a bit of drama…

The resulting video has gone viral in just a day since its release, already racking up more than 2-million hits. Granted, most viral videos aren’t usually constructed – and those that the internet collective deems as trying too hard will usually fail – but this is a great effort. In fact, were it not for the Carrie branding and film poster right at the end, it could easily be something from an independent film crew who just wanted to make something unique.
