Google’s been trekking around with world with its Street View backpack, and the latest addition to its Google Maps imagery is Formula 1 team McLaren.
The McLaren Technology Centre (MTC), in Woking, UK, is where the racing outfit houses several of its championship-winning cars and F1 trophies. The MTC, built on a 50 hectare estate that also houses the McLaren factory, is pretty much the motor manufacturer’s own version of the Google campus. Employees work there and a lot of development happens on both the company’s road-going cars as well as its various race machines.
While it’s possible to visit the UK and get a guided tour of the MTC, Google’s saved you not only the entry fee but also a potentially expensive flight. Now you can admire Ayrton Senna’s race-winning MP4/4, and all the cars from recent years, with just a few mouse clicks.
