With most American retailers going a little bananas offering super discounts in the run-up to Black Friday, online e-tailers have also got in on the action and online game stores like Green Man Gaming, Steam and the guys over at the Humble Bundle are running specials right now that will update throughout the weekend. And you know that that means: even us South Africans stand to pick up a few things for cheap thanks to the gloriousness that is the internet.

So, to kick things off here are a bunch of early specials to get you in the mood for some online game shopping this weekend:

HumbleIf you love Indie games (and who doesn’t?), there is a lot to like in the Humble Bundle Store’s Thanksgiving specials line-up. You can get the amazing Crusader Kings II Collection for $19.99 (R200) that includes the base game and all of its DLC, the charming and bizarrely-addictive game development simulator Game Dev Tycoon for just $6.99 (R70), and Worms: Reloaded that comes with Worms 2 Armageddon for Android. Fans of slow-paced exploratory games like Dear Esther will appreciate the highly-rated narrative-driven Gone Home that’s 50% off at $9.99. And if you’ve been curious about Peter Molyneux’s latest game, Godus, it can be had for a 25% discount ($14.99).
