It’s not too late to get matric results sent to your mobile

It’s a big day for South African students tomorrow. Over 700 000 matriculants who wrote their final exams late last year will know their fate in the morning, as official results will be released nationwide.  While many will rush out to grab early editions of the local papers to find out how they did, it’s not too late to take advantage of the more modern notification services that have been set up for those who are waiting on tenderhooks.

If you want to find out your results as early as possible, we suggest one of these three services which work on phone, PC or tablet. You’ll need to have your exam and ID number handy for them all – so it’s probably best to use one of these official services rather than a third party.

By SMS:

SABC Education has set up an SMS service where the students can register for their results by sending their exam and ID numbers to the number 35658 (SMSs cost R3).

Call:

Results can be accessed via the SABC NewsBreak call-in service by dialling 082 152, selecting Option 6 and following the instructions where exam and ID numbers will be requested.

Online:

The Department of Basic Education will put up all the results on its official website. Again, exam and ID numbers will be required.

All the best to class of 2013.
