Feelgood Friday: Watch Batkid save the day in San Francisco

Back in November, last year, five-year-old cancer patient Miles Scott had a dream: to be Batman. Fortunately, the Make A Wish foundation had the resources to make that come true. The internet was abuzz at the time, with people tweeting photos, posting videos, and Facebook updates detailing Miles “Batkid” Scott’s adventures as the sidekick of the real Batman.

The story goes that the whole city played ball. The actual San Francisco police chief Greg Suhr sent out an announcement calling for Batman and Batkid. TV stations broadcast his antics. Crowds turned out at some of the crime scenes to egg Batkid along, and it all culminated with a gathering at the San Francisco City Hall where the mayor of the city gave him a key to the city.

Clearly, those who weren’t there missed out. And thankfully the Make A Wish foundation now has this 10-minute video to give us a warm and fuzzy feeling.

(Miles has since entered remission, and is currently cancer free.)
