Star Wars Episode VII script complete and ready to start filming

Star Wars fans rejoice! You’ll be happy to know that director, JJ Abrams, has revealed that the script for the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII is complete and filming should kick off in May this year.

“That’s the current plan,” Abrams said in an interview while at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “We’re working really hard and we’ve got our script and we’re in deep prep. Full steam ahead.”

When asked about rumours of Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons being shortlisted for the lead role, Abrams said “He is one of the actors that we’ve talked to, yeah,” but wouldn’t confirm whether or not he has been chosen for the role.

Star Wars Episode VII is set to hit theatres on December 18th 2015.
