Sony Pictures has bought the film rights to Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg’s, book ‘Lean in: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead’, making Sandberg the second Facebook executive to inspire a movie after Mark Zuckerberg, who’s rise to fame and success is depicted in The Social Network.
The film will be a narrative on Sandberg’s book, which talks about the challenges of gender inequalities in the workplace and how women can overcome these challenges and empower themselves.
TV writer and director, Nell Scovell, who also helped Sandberg write the book, will be writing the script and Sandberg will donate her proceeds from the film to her Lean In Foundation.
