Apple made a video in one day using only iPhones

Everybody was expecting a little special something from Apple, to celebrate the 30th birthday of the Mac, and it didn’t disappoint.

In 1984 its iconic 1984 video aired at the Superbowl, showing how the Mac would be the future, fighting against the oppressors. Now, 30 years later, Apple has realised some of that three-decade-old vision. Macs are in use across the world, from labs and science facilities, to coffee shops and classrooms. The entire Apple ecosystem also works together, giving users a easy access to the things they want: there’s no doubt that iPhones and iPads complement the Mac experience.

To highlight all of that, Apple turned to Jake Scott, son of Oscar-winning director Ridley Scott. With him at the helm, more than 70 hours of footage was captured from across the globe, in a single day. Using only iPhones to record footage. Jake and a team of 21 editors  then set about editing the 90 second film, which can be seen in the video below.
