We’ve written extensively about Broforce, the awesome, over-the-top action shooter being developed by Cape Town crew, Free Lives. The platformer puts players in charge of parody versions of a wide variety of 80s and 90s action heroes, like the Terminator, Rambo, Blade, and more. Except they all have bro in their names – see the game’s title – and you end up with hilarious versions like Rambro and Robrocop.

In fact, it’s so manly and action hero-y that just playing Broforce will make you start growing a moustache, speak in a gruffer voice, and lovingly stroke your gun collection. Amazingly, it manages to be all these macho things without a single bit of misogyny – take that every other action game with a male protagonist.

The in-development title, which received the community Green Light on Steam, is on the receiving end of monthly updates, and the trailer for the February update has just landed.
