Calling all young scientists for the 2014 Google Science Fair

Are you or do you know of a young scientist between the ages of 13-18 who has ideas that can change the world? Then Google is looking for you!

Google will be hosting the fourth edition of its annual Google Science Fair for young scientists and is calling on learners from all over the world aged 13-18 to submit their unique projects that offer problem-solving to some of the world’s biggest challenges.

“What do you love? What are you good at? What problem have you always dreamed of solving?” is what participants are encouraged to consider as inspiration for their projects.

The closing date for project submissions is May 12th and winners will be announced at the finalist event at the Google headquarters in Mountain View, California, on September 22nd.

Up for grabs in this year’s grand prize are the chance to join the Virgin Galactic team at Spaceport America in New Mexico as they prepare for space flight, a 10-day trip to the Galapagos Islands aboard the National Geographic Endeavour and a full year’s digital access to Scientific American magazine for the winner’s school.

Age category winners will have a choice between going behind the scenes at the LEGO factory in Billund, Denmark or a trip to either a Google office or National Geographic HQ.

You can keep up to date with announcements, updates and more on the Google Science Fair website.
