1. Yookos
Originally founded by the Christ Embassy church lead by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome in Nigeria, Yookos is a micro blogging site where you can share photos and videos, play online games, chat, keep up to date with news updates and create groups and blogs.
2. LAGBook (Ladies and Gentlemen’s book)
LAGbook is another social networking from Nigeria, it’s targeted at young men and women aged 18-30 who are looking to make new friends. Its user base extends as far as countries such as India, Canada, Germany and Spain.
3. Bandeka
Bandeka is an “exclusive” social network where ‘successful and educated Africans’ chat, have forums and share content. Joining is by invite only.
4. East African Social Network
As its name suggest, East African Social Network is targeted specifically at East Africans, where they can socialise, do business, strengthen relationships and share similarities.
5. African Planet
African Planet is a social community where Africans and friends of Africa connect with each other. It also features news and blogs centred around the continent.
