You may soon be able to 3D print your own LEGO

In the near future, you may be able to create your own little LEGO minifigure empire using 3D printers.

This was revealed by the Danish toymakers to the Financial Times recently when LEGO’s CFO, John Goodwin, said the company is “looking very intently at it and monitoring it, looking at what potential opportunities there are for consumers.”

“It could well be that it might be an exciting opportunity to print your own bricks,” added chief marketing officer, Mads Nipper.

While LEGO is considering letting customers use 3D printing, it said it’ll be sticking to its good old-fashioned toy-making methods which churn out 2 000 bricks a second.
