The Samsung Galaxy S5 has been announced and it’s on its way to South Africa with the global launch on the 11th of April. The latest version of the popular smartphone has a 5.1-inch full HD display and a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor to power the latest version of the Google operating system, Android 4.4.2 KitKat. New features include a a heart rate sensor, fingerprint scanner, a new 16MP camera with 4K video recording.
Vodacom
Vodacom have an information page that promises to send you an SMS as soon as the official pre-orders open up for the Galaxy S5 on the big red network.
MTN
The first 1 000 people to get a Galaxy S5 from MTN will get a Samsung Bluetooth speaker as well as a free microSD card with their new phone.
Cell C
Cell C are offering the Galaxy S5 for pre order to both its existing customers who want to upgrade as well as new ones joining the network.
Telkom Mobile
Telkom Mobile has an info page up already but doesn’t have any way for potential customers to sign up for the Galaxy S5 yet.
Incredible Connection
Incredible Connection will let Vodacom subscribers, both new and upgrade, pre register for the Galaxy S5 in any of the four available colours.

If you’re looking to avoid a contract the Orange has the Galaxy S5 up for pre order for R 9 815 in black, white, blue and gold.
Cellucity
Cellucity will let you pre order a Galaxy Gear 2 and the Galaxy S5 for cash, prepid or contract subscribers.
Simplicity
Simplicity has the black and white version of the Galaxy S5 available for pre order at, a more than slightly eye-watering, R11 799 in both black and white.
