Congratulations to Gavin Owen! You’re now the proud owner of the Collector’s Edition of InFAMOUS: Second Son for your incredibly original and well-thought-out entry. We’ll be in touch shortly to arrange delivery of your prize.

Gavin’s answer to the question of “If I wake up with a superpower tomorrow, I hope it’s…” was

Atom-kinesis – controlling the quantum-state/location of matter: control the weather, become intangible and invisible, fly, perform telekinesis, or change phase.

That’s a pretty comprehensive power right there, I’m sure you’ll all agree. If you really had that, Gavin, you wouldn’t need the game, you could pretty much dematerialise it from wherever it is and make it appear in your hands!

We felt that most of the other entries, while good, weren’t quite as attention-grabbing. Honourable mentions must go to Markym Fox for wanting the power of teleportation, Anton Lokken for wanting to control time and Mac Anamourlis for the ability to “top-up the battery power of any electronic device at the touch of my finger”. Now that would be a handy – if underwhelming – “super” power.

As always, there were a few funny entries as well: Eugene Grobler wants the power to understand women, Kasin Velleses wants the ability to not to go work on Fridays and not get fired, and we couldn’t help but smile at the sheer number of you who are keen to control minds, fly or simply come into a pile of cash so you can all be Batman.

While the overall quality of the entries was good, we felt that Mr. Owen captured that “X factor” we were looking for that set his answer apart. Well done, sir.

If you didn’t win, you can always enter the other compo that we’ve got on at the moment, which is to win a South African-made 3D printer of your very own. Find it over here.

Good luck!
