PlayStation 4 owners, you now have even more reason to rejoice at your decision to buy Sony’s latest and greatest: there is a massive number of games on the way for your Precious.

The official PlayStation Blog has just released a list of over ONE HUNDRED GAMES that are coming out for the PS4 before the end of 2014, and by the looks of things, a lot of them should be pretty good – That means the relative drought that has plagued the console since its launch in December is almost over, and you have a whole lot to look forward to before Santa comes again.

The ones that have us drooling in anticipation here at the htxt.Africa offices are Destiny (May), Watch_Dogs (May), Sniper Elite 3 (Winter) and Dragon Age: Inquisition (Winter). Even if those are all I play on my PS4 this year, I’ll be a very happy gamer.

Also highly anticipated are games that don’t yet have official release dates, but which are expected to ship this year. These include The Order: 1886, Batman: Arkham Knight, Ubisoft’s racing game The Crew, quasi-MMO Tom Clancy’s The Division, the socially-focused #DriveClub and the scary-looking Alien: Isolation.

While we expect the next Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed and Battlefield games to also make their way to the PS4 this year, for some reason they didn’t make the list. Perhaps that will change after this year’s E3 in June, when more games are officially announced.

Even ignoring the fact that Sony’s list of 100 games features a lot of Indie games from smaller studios, that’s a lot of gaming goodness to look forward to, and these are just the highlights.
