If you’ve been wondering where, exactly, you could get a PlayStation Camera for your shiny new PS4, you’ll be happy to know that from this week, you’ll be able to get one from your local gaming retailer.
You’ll also find consoles, Dual Shock 4 controllers, Sony’s official vertical stand for the console itself and charging stations on store shelves thanks to the latest resupply.
All of this was confirmed by Ster Kinekor, the PlayStation’s local distributor, along with local accessory pricing. There has only been one PS4 price-hike so far – the one we reported on back in January – and we were relieved to see this announcement didn’t come with news of another one.
- PlayStation 4 Standalone: R 6 799.99
- Dual Shock 4 (Black): R 999.99
- Dual Shock 4 Charging Station: R 399.99
- PlayStation 4 Camera: R 999.99
- PlayStation 4 Vertical Stand: R399.99
Mario Dos Santos, Chief Executive Office of Ster Kinekor Entertainment had this to say about the resupply:
It’s been a challenging few months liaising with our global teams to ensure that the South African PlayStation 4 console demands have been met to satisfactory levels. As expected the team has been working hard with our international colleagues to ensure that the inflow of units will be regulated and remain consist for the foreseeable future. Retailer support is imperative to the success of these units. We are thrilled to announce that PlayStation 4 accessories will now also be available through retailers from this week.
