See into YouTube’s near future with new Creator Previews

Every year, YouTube conducts two surveys to get a feel of what users want and don’t like and to help the company improve on where it’s lacking.

One thing that became evident in the last survey was that users want to know about updates in due time before they happen, so YouTube is giving users just that with Creator Preview videos. Creator Previews are now the video sharing service’s official way of telling users and, more importantly, video creators all they need to know about what new features YouTube will be debuting in the new future.

In its first Creator Preview, YouTube announced a number of interesting new features that will arrive in the next few months. Firstly, video creators are getting their very own mobile app where they can manage their accounts and upload new videos directly from their mobile devices. Secondly, crowdfunders will be able to launch projects directly from YouTube, giving them another option besides having to create projects on sites such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

Video creators will soon be able to add captions and subtitles for videos in over 60 languages.
