The aim of World Hunger Day is to raise awareness about extreme hunger and poverty across the globe, but also find a sustainable solution to end it.
To spread the message and help those in need today, KFC South Africa is running a campaign under its Add Hope project that calls on South Africans to help with a simple click.
KFC SA uploaded a short video onto its Facebook and YouTube pages earlier this morning that asks South Africans to watch and share the advert on social media. For each share the video receives, KFC will donate a food parcel to one of its 90 beneficiaries.
The ad has already been shared over 300 times from the KFC Facebook page and is gaining momentum on YouTube as well. The #WorldHungerDay hashtag is currently trending on Twitter in various parts of the world (including South Africa).
